Brian Behrens

I am a multimedia developer currently based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have produced award-winning multimedia content since 2003. Multimedia development has been not only my profession, but also a passion of mine. I specialize in content for the arts, media, and entertainment.

I began my early career in multimedia development right out of college. WIN Media, Inc. hired me directly upon graduation, after I completed a 6 month internship at the company. The key focus when I started at WIN Media was CD-ROM development, primarily for student recruitment. At WIN Media, I programmed and designed a variety of projects; these projects were developed using Macromedia Director with various types of external media assets, mainly video. WIN Media soon adopted new clients, focusing on web development, due to the new skill set and technologies I introduced to the company. Some of these skills included- the use of Flash, PHP, MySQL, and video deployment over the web and on dvd.

While working at WIN Media, Inc., I began doing freelance work with both Midwest Love Art and Design (Walworth, WI) and Robots Made It (Simi Valley, CA). I continue to do a large amount of work with these companies today. I enjoy the type of work these projects bring, as well as the learning experiences that follow. Often, the freelance projects I become involved in expose me to new technologies and an ever-broadening range of clients.

I left WIN Media, Inc. in December of 2006, to begin employment at a large Milwaukee-based ad-agency, Marx Creative. Most of my time at Marx is dedicated to developing and updating content on the web. In 2007, Marx Creative was awarded the prestigious "FREDDY" award, for best website of 2007. This award was for the ChefMD.com website. The development of ChefMD.com was lead primarily by myself, in conjunction with the producers and account managers on the Marx Creative staff. Marx Creative has allowed me to explore new technologies and adopt new techniques. The projects I work on, at Marx Creative, include web development (PHP, MySQL, Actionscript 3, Ajax, and more), CD-ROM development (Actionscript 3), DVD Development, and in-store digital signage.

I am very excited about what the future of technology brings. It seems I never spend a day without researching new platforms and resources.
